The communities and individuals that social workers serve depend on policies from politicians WE get to pick this November!

Our Story

Show your social work pride with limited edition "This Social Worker Votes" gear! Funds raised will support PACE, NASW-MA's political action arm that endorses political candidates whose platforms align with social work values.

PACE's work helps to push forward NASW-MA's mission to advance professional social work practice and the profession; and to promote human rights, social and economic justice, and unimpeded access to services for everyone.

Voting is Social Work

Only 58% of voters went to the polls in 2016. Voting is a vital part of our democracy, as well as a way to advance social work values in policy and advocacy. Think you don't have any power to influence the system? Think again!

Here's a taste of what NASW-MA has accomplished with MA legislature in the last year, through advocacy with locally elected politicians, partnerships with other organizations, and support from NASW members, whose contributions allow us to continue this important work:

  • Protection for Pregnant Workers (signed 07/27/2017)
  • ACCESS: Birth Control with No Co-Pay (signed 11/20/17)
  • PATCH: Protecting Access to Confidential Healthcare (signed 04/02/18)
  • An Act Relative to Criminal Justice Reform (signed 04/13/18)
  • An Act Relative to Solitary Confinement (signed 04/13/18)
  • Paid Family and Medical Leave & $15 Minimum Wage (signed 06/28/18)

What we're working on now:

  • Lifting the Welfare Cap on Kids, included in the final budget, but vetoed by Governor Baker
  • The Healthcare Omnibus bill, which includes work on clawbacks, telemental health, and ghost networks
  • LGBTQ Conversion Therapy Ban, which passed the House and Senate, but was not sent to the Governor's desk in time
  • And much more! View our Legislative Agenda to see what we are working on

FAQ's

When will my items ship? Items typically ship within 2-4 weeks after the campaign end date. While we do our best to only feature items with reliable inventory, the delivery timeline may extend if your items encounter backorder issues. Covid-19 has had an outsized impact on many items, and backorder delays are more common. We'll let you know as soon as possible if this occurs. IgniteCX does not guarantee delivery by any date. Also, please note that IgniteCX's liability of the product is complete upon delivery, as confirmed by the shipping company. When will my credit card be charged? If you are making a donation, your credit card will be charged immediately after you place your order. If you are purchasing items, your credit card will be processed within 2 business days after the end of the campaign, rather than at the time of the original order. If, for some reason, this campaign does not reach its batch order minimum requirements, your item order may be cancelled. If you purchased items and made an additional donation, your total contributions will appear on your credit card statement as two separate transactions. How will this charge read on my credit card? Look for the descriptor text on your credit card statement for purchases and donations made through this website to appear similar to this example: BT [CAMPAIGN NAME#####].

Some credit card issuers may display a status of “recurring” on your statement. This does NOT mean that you will be charged multiple times for your donation or purchase. It is simply an indicator for the credit card issuer of how our payment gateway, Braintree, handles payments.
Can I make changes to my order? Please do your very best to be sure all of your order information is correct before placing the order. Because all items in this store are made to order, it can be very difficult to make changes. However, if you absolutely need to make a change, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Can I return or exchange my item? All sales are final unless product is defective. All items are produced and made to order at the end of each campaign. Please double check sizing before placing your order. What is your policy regarding bulk shipments? Once you have received your bulk shipment it is your responsibility to confirm that all individual orders have been accurately fulfilled. Any issues with a shipment must be reported by contacting us here within 2 business days of the shipment proof of delivery date. Other questions about this campaign? Contact us HERE.
